Accessibility
Built for every detailer, PM and shop lead.
Atmosteel works toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Forms, tables, menus and Atmos are built to be used with a keyboard and a screen reader. The 3D model and drawing markups are visual tools, so each comes with a text version.
Keyboard and screen readers
- A "Skip to content" link jumps past the menu on every page of the app.
- Buttons, icons and form fields carry labels a screen reader can read out.
- Atmos replies are announced once they finish, so you hear the answer without the typing.
Contrast and reading
- Text in both the dark and light themes is checked against the WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratio of 4.5:1.
- Pick Light, Dark or match your device under Settings, My Account, Theme.
- Status badges pair color with a word, so late, waiting and on track never rely on color alone.
3D model viewer
- The 3D view is visual and cannot be fully used with a keyboard or screen reader.
- Every piece in the model is also listed as a table under Drawings, Pieces: mark, drawing, phase, profile, quantity and status.
- Element counts, materials and overall size are written out beside the viewer.
Drawing markups
- Drawing on a sheet needs a mouse, pen or touch.
- Each markup is also listed in words beside the sheet, by layer: its type and its text, measurement or weld callout. Picking one in the list selects it on the sheet.
- Markups Atmos reads off returned sheets appear as a checklist under Submittals.
- The Project Brain map has a list view with the same items.
Getting help
- Our target is WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the app. Parts that can’t meet it are listed above with their text alternative.
- Files your company or the GC uploads, such as scanned PDFs, may not be accessible themselves.
- If something gets in your way, email [email protected] and we will help you get the information another way.
